Getting There

Transport options

To enter the Reserve, you must first pass by the office of ASEPALECO (the local association) in Jicaral. It is important that you arrive at the office before 3:00 p.m. in order to get to the lodge before dark. Then, to reach the Cerro Escondido community and lodge you will do a 1 hour hike. Your luggage can be transported by horseback for an extra charge. Private taxi or van transportation to the hike start point is also available for an extra charge. Luggage transport during 1 hour hike to lodge is available for extra charge. Private taxi or van transportation to the hike start point is also available for an extra charge.
