Pulang Bato Day Adventure

Full Day | Hiking, Swimming and Community Visit

Hike with an indigenous Batak guide to explore Pulang Bato, a unique body of naturally red-stained rocks along the river in the Cleopatra's Needle Reserve. You'll get to dive in pristine swimming holes, look for amazing wildlife that only exists in Palawan and enjoy a relaxing picnic alongside the river. You'll also get to visit the Batak community of Sitio Kalakwasan.

  • 6:30 AM - Short briefing at CSPH office, then drive out
  • 7:30 AM - Jump-off point at Barangay Tanabag highway; hike out (90 minutes)
  • 9:00 AM - Arrive at Sitio Kalakuasan to meet Batak Guides
  • 9:15 AM - Hike (45 minutes); expect to cross same shallow river several times
  • 10:00 AM - Arrive at Pulang Bato. Guests can relax, swim, and have lunch (12:00 PM)
  • 1:30 PM - Hike back (2.5 hours)
  • 4:00 PM - Arrive at Barangay Tanabag; drive back to Puerto Princesa City
  • 5:00 PM - Arrive at Puerto Princesa; Drop-off at accommodations
