Meet the host family at their home in Los Planes and begin your journey into the rainforest. You'll hike along a quiet road before turning off onto a trail. Cross shallow rivers and enjoy the peace and quiet. Arrive at the lodge to drop your bags and enjoy a typical Tico lunch. The afternoon is yours to explore the surrounding trails, swim in the nearby waterfall or relax in a hammock. Dinner at your leisure and optional night hike.

The schedule is flexible, though we recommend starting the day with an early morning nature and wildlife viewing hike. Then return to the lodge for breakfast. The rest of the day is yours to explore and relax.

Enjoy a peaceful morning and breakfast before starting your hike back to Los Planes and on to your next destination.
