Unexplored forests, Rural Communities & Volcanoes

Zapotal to Rio Celeste to La Anita to Arenal, Costa Rica

Unexplored forests, Rural Communities & Volcanoes

Immerse yourself in the culture and biodiversity of Costa Rica in this off the beaten path adventure. Experience the cloud forest at Zapotal, a rural community with warm and friendly people willing to share the pura vida vibe of the country.

Continue to one of Costa Rica's best kept secrets as well as one of the best places for hikers - Tenorio Volcano National Park. Not only can travelers trek alongside the stunningly beautiful Rio Celeste but the park is also home to an abundance of flora and fauna. As there are many legends and myths in Costa Rica, this river is no different. Ancient legend has it that the gods dipped their paint brushes into the river while painting the sky.

Continue to Rancho La Anita, a ranch nestled in a small valley between the Miravalles, Rincón de la Vieja, and Santa Maria Volcanoes.; Hidden within the dense rainforest in this region live more species than are found in the United States and Canada combined!

Your final days will be spent at the Arenal Volcano. One of the best places to take in the Arenal Volcano’s awe-inspiring beauty is at La Fortuna, a tiny town located near the foot of the volcano. The perfect place to kick back and enjoy the area’s superb beauty, La Fortuna still retains much of its original Tico charm, offers thermal waters and outdoor activities galore.
