A Unique Story

We are a family-run surf and yoga school and a travel business, but we tend to think of ourselves as much more than just that. We are four individuals who want to offer people the most holistic and unique travel experience that we possibly can: one that promotes responsible tourism, one that enlightens you on both the issues and virtues facing the region, and one that encourages you see the world in a new way.
In 2016, Bodhi Surf became a B Corporation, a certification of their commitment to being the type of business that supports their community and takes care of the environment.

Community Connection

Bodhi Surf donates a percentage of each vacation package sold to the operations of locally-based non-profits whose work impacts local marine conservation and youth development. It also provides an opportunity for guests to match or add to the donation to support our local community.

Environmental Engagement

As a surf camp, Bodhi Surf utilizes and depends on the ocean as its grounds for surfing experiences, so it is only fit that we give back by working to build awareness for important issues such as marine conservation. In addition to teaching guests about Bahia Ballena and developing it in a responsible way, they've take on a number of projects as part of their Ocean Guardian Project. This includes partnering with three local non-profit organizations to help form the Bahia Ballena Plastic Free Initiative.

The Bodhi Surf Headquarters are located 750 meters southwest of La Fogata Restaurant in Bahia Ballena. Surf lessons take place at Bahia Ballena beach in the national park.
