A Unique Story

In 2009, Hacienda Venecia decided to open its doors to visitors, mainly to share a learning experience about coffee culture.

Community Connection

Hacienda Venecia respects and highlights the work of coffee growers and other people involved in the coffee and tourism industries in Colombia. They also generate employment and provide opportunities for locals to participate in the services provided by Hacienda Venecia. Through the development of tourism, they aim to increase the quality of services while increasing the quality of life for locals. They work to improve the social development of the area by establishing rights and duties for guests, visitors, work team, clients, and suppliers. They also reject all forms of exploitation, pornography, sexual tourism and sexual violence of minors, illegal trafficking of species, cultural property and patrimonial interest.

Environmental Engagement

As a working coffee farm they are dedicated to sustainable practices, which include a UTZ certification. They were the first in Colombia and one of only four farms in the world which applies the cultivation and commercialization processes required to achieve this certificate.
