A Unique Story

Tuki Llajta was built to share the natural and cultural beauty of the Huancayo region, living in harmony with its surroundings. They strive to support the well-being of the environment and their community in everything that they do.

Community Connection

From visiting the Lapichuco or San Jerónimo de Tunan artisans to trips to the "Bonanza" dairy plant, the Lodge connects guests to many community-run experiences of the region that showcase the unique culture and talents of local people.

Environmental Engagement

Tuki Llajta is built with materials of the area and harmonizes with the environment where it is located.Their first important project was the reforestation of 15,000 trees on a lot of 10 hectares on the hill where the lodge is located - an area that many animals call home.
They've also taken many other steps to be more sustainable, including:
recycle all the bottles and paper used at the lodge and composting the organic waste from the restaurant; properly identifying native and endemic species in their garden; using energy efficient lighting; installing craft nests as a shelter for the different species of birds and maintaining 4 honeycombs of bees to produce 100% natural honey.
