Visit the home of a local chef to a get a personal lesson in the flavors and cooking style of the Caribbean! The local cooks are not professional culinary instructors but this is the best way to experience real local flavor, know the community’s food and can learn about their culture. You'll get to practice your patois (or your Spanish) and learn some recipes you can take home with you. Using fruits and veggies typical to coastal Talamanca learn to cook patacones, bread fruit, rice and beans in coconut milk, batidos, fish or chicken in Caribbean Sauce and more! Class includes bilingual instruction and, of course, you'll get to eat the food you prepare. Chicken, fish, or vegetarian options available.
