Explore ancient Mayan ruins in the middle of Lacandona Jungle in Chiapas, Mexico. Visit the ruins of Yaxchilan, which was an ancient Mayan city located in the bank of Usumancinta River. This ancient city-state grew until it become a regional capital and the dinasty lasted until the beginnings of the 9th century. Also get the chance to visit the ruins of Bonampak which was governed by Yaxchilan. Bonampak is famous for the Temple of Murals, that contains 3 rooms filled with world famous murals. You will also be able to go on a boat tour through the Usumacinta River that borders Mexico and Guatemala.
You will start off your jungle adventure by visiting the Yaxchilan ruins for about two hours. After exploring the ruins, you will go on a 40 min boat toar through the Usumancinta River and visit Bonampak for about two hours.
