Your adventure will begin with a cycling tour in a scenic countryside of Chiang Mai. Stop at an organic tea plantation to discover how tea is grown, processed and transformed in a traditional way from tea leaves to tea cups. Then, enjoy white water rafting and a picnic lunch. The tour also includes a visit to an Akha village where you will have a chance to chat with the village shaman. Stay overnight at Lisu Lodge where your Lisu hill tribe hosts will make sure you have a good night sleep.

Upon your arrival at the Lisu Lodge (9 am) you will be welcomed with a refreshing traditional drink. Then, following a cycling tour around the village (13 kilometers or 8 miles). En route stop at a tea plantation where you will be led by an experienced guide who will introduce you to the process of growing and harvesting tea as well as vegetation propagation to produce tea seedlings at the nursery, whilst teaching you how to pluck tea leaves and enjoy a cup of fresh-roasted tea.
Then you will continue cycling to a rafting station. After a healthy picnic lunch on the bank of the river, you will go on an exciting ride, about 45 minutes of white water rafting that takes you a Thai country village. (Remark: During the summer, which usually starts in April and lasts a few months, they will switch from inflatable raft to bamboo raft.)
From there you return to Lisu Lodge by local truck. On the way back you will stop at the traditional Akha village for a chat with the shaman (spirit doctor).
Upon returning to Lisu Lodge, enjoy your visit to the rice paddies. Walk with your guide through rice paddies where they work together with the villagers to grow rice without the use of pesticide and insecticide. You will learn and participate in the various stages of rice cultivation in northern Thai style.
In the evening, you will enjoy Thai dinner and watch Lisu traditional dance show before retiring to your room for the night.
