¡Bienvenidos a México! Your local driver will pick you up at the airport and take you to the first tour of your trip (approx. 1 hour drive). You will head towards the islet of Cahuare. An embarkation point near to Chiapa de Corzo. There you will have a board ride on a motorboat with other travelers to navigate along the breathtaking Sumidero Canyon. A stunning natural formation that started approximately 136 million years ago. Its walls reach 800 meters height above the Grijalva River in the middle of luxuriant vegetation. During the journey, you will see a wide diversity of wildlife, flora, and fauna such as bromeliads, pines, river crocodiles, and spider monkeys. As well as, some waterfalls, caves and interesting rock formations. After your excursion, your driver will take you to your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas (approx. 1 hour 45 minutes drive).

Your day will begin early in the morning: your transportation will pick you up to visit the Montebello’s Lake and appreciate the beauty of this natural park created in 1959 and designated by UNESCO as a Biosphere Reserve (approx. 2 hours drive). There are in total 59 lakes from which only 12 can be visited overland. They have different color-schemes created by intern currents, the flora that surrounds, and the sunlight reflection. Once in place, you will be able to visit five of the lakes among them Tziscao, International, Pojoj, and Montebello. Also, you can take an optional tour in a cork pond.
After this, you are going to El Chiflón Waterfalls for a walk on the hill to admire the nature’s contrast in the tallest waterfalls in Chiapas, all composed of many different smaller ones of various sizes (approx. 1-hour drive). Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to see the principal called “Velo de Novia” a wonderful water curtain of 120 meters heigh formed by the San Vicente’s River.
Then, your driver will take you to an ecotouristical Center, where you will spend your night and rest from your exciting day (approx. 3 hours drive).

Today, after a delicious breakfast, your local guide will visit with you the beautiful waterfalls and discover the attractions of nature. He will share his knowledge about the jungle, the flora, and fauna, as well as the characteristics of the Lacandona Jungle of Chiapas.
After this special encounter, your driver will take you to Las Guacamayas, which is located in the "Montes Azules" Biosphere Reserve in Marqués de Comillas. At this Ecotourism Center, you can enjoy direct contact with nature and observe the fantastic macaws. This ecotourism center was created with the aim of preserving the species of "The Red Macaw". Enjoy your night at this magical place.

Today, after breakfast you will visit the Red Macaw conservation area. For their reproduction and subsistence, the ecotourism team builds artificial nests that you will be able to see. During the walk, you might also see toucans, parrots, spider monkeys, howler monkeys, and hummingbirds, depending on the season.
After you will start with a private boat ride through the part of the Biosphere Reserve of Montes Azules. Your local guide will show and explain to you the life in the tropical forest, full of flora and fauna. It is common to observe monkeys, moreleti crocodiles, iguanas, herons, kingfisher. If you are lucky, you might also observe jaguar, tapir, and otters, among other species. An hour later, the boat stops in a natural island created by the river, here you will enjoy a meal prepared by the Guacamaya team. By the end of the day, rest, take your time, and enjoy one more time this magical place to have dinner at the restaurant of the ecolodge (not included).

After breakfast, you will have to say goodbye to this enchanting place. Your driver will take you to a stunning archaeological site (approx. 3h drive). Secluded in the jungle about 183 km southeast of Palenque along the Rio Lacanja, is the remarkably well-preserved ruins of a Mayan temple. Called Bonampak, it means “painted walls” and it is the highly detailed frescoes —drawings telling the history of the people who lived here— painted on the inside of the walls and roofs of three buildings, which make Bonampak a true delight and major attraction for archaeologists and visitors alike. The frescoes are incredibly well preserved and the highlight of a visit to Bonampak.
After this, your driver will take you to your hotel in Palenque (approx. 3h drive). Tonight you can spend your night as you love to.

● Activities: Visit the archeological site of Bonampak.
● Transportation: Transfer to the mentioned activities.
You will be picked up early in the morning at your hotel to visit the open area of Palenque’s archaeological site (approx. 15 minutes drive). You will see the stunning Skull and the Red Queen Temples. Also, you are going to have the opportunity to contemplate the inscriptions or King Pakal’s tomb, the Palace, the Ball Court, among others. After this, you will go to the museum where there are original pieces from different eras and a replica of Pakal’s tomb. When this visit is finished you will be headed to the Roberto Barrios Waterfalls (approx. 1-hour drive). There were formed thanks to Bascan’s River in which some ponds are ideal for swimming.
In the end, your transportation will take you back to Palenque (approx. 1-hour drive). Rest for tonight.

After your traditional breakfast, you will enjoy the natural beauty of the state of Chiapas. Your private transportation will pick you up and take you to visit the Misol Ha waterfall, of approximately 35 meters of height where you will be able to take very good pictures and be in contact with the nature that surrounds you (approx. 35 minutes drive).
Then, you will visit the Agua Azul waterfalls where the indigo color of the water, the green vegetation, the constant breeze of the air, and the endless sound of the water make this place one of the most spectacular natural areas in Mexico. Afterward, you will return to your hotel in Palenque, where you will have the afternoon free. Rest at night in your hotel (approx. 1 h drive).
