A Unique Story

ACODOBRARTI works to preserve the resources and natural beauty that surround Dos Brazos by improving social, cultural and educational opportunities available to its people. The main goal is to turn Dos Brazos into one of the top eco-tourism destinations in Costa Rica while still maintaining its authenticity. Through responsible tourism development, local businesses can thrive and visitors can witness the beauty of the rainforest while helping preserve it. In less than 10 years, the association has done a great deal to improve the town and make it more welcoming to tourists who are looking for an enriching cultural experience.

Deep Community Connections

ACODOBRARTI has helped with several community initiatives which include; organizing courses run by INA (Instituto Nacional de Aprendizaje - National Institute of Learning) to provide locals with education in subjects ranging from English Language to Animal Classification and Professional Guiding; providing environmental education opportunities for children in town; hosting English teachers to provide courses to the citizens of Dos Brazos. Dos Brazos is currently also building a modern community center which will be the center of all cultural activities.

Active Environmental Stewardship

ACODOBRARTI has worked to prevent large corporations from excavating sand from the Rio Tigre for construction, which would have had an enormously detrimental impact on the river and the wildlife it sustains. It has also helped develop hiking trails in and around Corcovado National Park which helps with overall conservation of the region

Exceptional Quality and Authenticity (Culture)

ACODOBRARTI has hosted multiple film screenings, cooking classes, and press trips.
