Morning:
Pick-up at the airport and transfer to your hotel. It is recommended that you rest to acclimate to the altitude.
Afternoon:
Pick-up at your hotel at 13:30 to begin your tour visiting the most popular and representative attractions in Cusco. These include the Cathedral, the Temple of Koricancha, and the archaeological complexes of Saqsaywaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. The tour will last approximately 4 hours.
At the end of your tour, you will enjoy a fresh cup of COCLA coffee (included) and if you would like, you will be able to buy local organic products such as coffee and chocolate. Free night to explore the city at your leisure.
Morning:
They will pick you up at your hotel at 8:10 and begin the journey into the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the way, you will visit the market town and ruins of Pisac, whose larger-than-life agricultural terraces will leave you breathless.
Afternoon:
After a buffet lunch in Urubamba. You will journey in the direction of Ollantaytambo, where you will visit the famous Incan ruins and a quaint town, which has maintained the original urban planning of the Incas.
After the tour, you will continue in a private or public vehicle for about three hours to the coffee plantation and organic farm, where your family will be waiting with open arms. Upon arrival you will take a quick tour of the farm, eat dinner with your family and retire to your private room (with hot water for showering).
Morning:
After breakfast with the family, you will head to their farm to learn more about their livelihood. Here, you will try local seasonal fruit, and learn about different tropical produce such as coffee, cacao, coca, tea, among others. You will mostly learn about coffee, which is one of the representative products of the area, and which the family exports through their cooperative. These cooperatives award organic certifications as well as adhering to fair trade practices. You will discover what exactly is behind a great cup of coffee, and even be able to prepare your own coffee in the traditional artisan way of the region.
Afternoon:
After lunch, you will bid farewell to the family and continue on your way to the train station, where you will travel to the town of Aguas Calientes and arrive at approximately 6 pm. You will have the night to spend at your leisure in your hostal (basic accommodation with hot water - can be upgraded). In your hostal, your guide will explain what the tour for tomorrow entails and afterwards you can relax in the hot springs of Aguas Calientes!
Morning:
Very early, you will make your way by bus to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. You will visit the citadel for a few hours with your guide, and then you will have some time to explore the magical complex on your own and take photos. You will also have time to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain at an additional costs. Either the Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain entrance ticket is purchased at the same time as the Machu Picchu entrance, and it is recommended to purchase these tickets in advance, because there are limited spaces.
Afternoon:
After lunch (not included), you will take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes for your return trip to Cusco. You will know your exact train schedule as soon as you buy your train ticket. You will arrive to Cusco by bus at approximately 10:00 pm.
