Enjoy the Sacred Valley of the Incas, and discover the magnificent Incan constructions at Pisac and Ollantaytambo. Then visit a local coffee farm and family who will teach you about local agriculture, principally coffee production. You will get to know the members of the family and their deep-seeded knowledge of coffee and the processes it goes through from bean to cup. You will also be able to learn about other local produce and try fruit that is in season. Lastly, visit Machu Picchu via the hydroelectric station.
There are also options for a single overnight stay or to just do a day coffee/cacao tour.

Morning:
They will pick you up at your hotel at 8:10 and begin the journey into the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. On the way, you will visit the market town and ruins of Pisac, whose larger-than-life agricultural terraces will leave you breathless.
Afternoon:
After a buffet lunch in Urubamba. You will journey on in direction of Ollantaytambo, where you will visit the famous Inca ruins and quaint town, which has maintained the original urban planning of the Incas.
After your tour, you will continue in a private or public vehicle for about three hours to the coffee plantation and organic farm, where your family will be waiting with open arms. Upon arrival you will take a quick tour of the farm, eat dinner with your family and retire to your private room (with hot water for showering).
Morning:
After breakfast with the family, you will head to their farm to learn more about their livelihood. Here, you will try local fruit that is in season, and learn about different tropical produce such as coffee, cacao, coca, tea, among others. You will mostly learn about coffee, which is one of the representative products of the area, and which the family exports through their cooperative. These cooperatives award organic certification as well as adhere to fair trade practices. You will discover what exactly is behind a great cup of coffee, and even be able to prepare your own coffee in the traditional artisanal way of the region.
Afternoon:
After lunch, you will bid farewell to the family and continue on our way to the train station, where we will travel to the town of Aguas Calientes and arrive at approximately 6 pm. You will have the night to spend at your leisure in your hostal (basic accommodation with hot water - can be upgraded). In your hostal, your guide will explain what the tour for tomorrow entails and afterwards you can relax in the hot springs of Aguas Calientes!
Morning:
You will make your way by bus very early to the ancient citadel of Machu Picchu. You will visit the citadel for a few hours with your guide, and then you will have some time to explore the magical complex on your own and take photos. You will also have time to climb Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain at an additional cost. Either, the Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain entrance ticket is purchased at the same time as the Machu Picchu entrance, and it is recommended to purchase these tickets in advance, because there are limited spaces.
Afternoon:
Break for lunch (not included). You will then make your way back to Cusco by train and bus. Arrival to Cusco depends upon departure time purchased.
