Explore a different side of the Inca Trail as you hike down from Pumamarca to Ollantaytambo. During your descent, visit an Incan fortress, pass through beautiful hillsides, and admire the water channels. Enjoy a small picnic at the Incan farming terraces and try different Peruvian fruits and snacks. In addition, their mountain dog can join your guide and help lead your family through the trail.
8:30am- 9:30am: Pick up from your Hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will visit the local market where you will listen to a small explanation of the products and producers of Ollantaytambo. Next, enjoy an Andean Style breakfast.
9:30am – 11:20am: Their private transportation will take you up to the mountain to Pumamarca Inca fortress, where you will explore this amazing place with scenic views, and get the chance to play with their mountain Dog Uku.
11:20am – 1:20pm: You will start the trek along the amazing Inca Trail through the beautiful mountains with scenic views of the Sacred Valley, where you will have the opportunity to appreciate all its flora and fauna. On the way, you will see canal walls and water sources of Inca origin, this is a beautiful walk downhill where you will have the opportunity to take countless photos.
1:20pm – 2:00pm: You will arrive at the incredible Inca terraces where we will have a delicious Andean Picnic. During the picnic you will try different fruits of Peru and the Andes, as well as corn, potatoes, cheese, Andean creams, nuts and more.
2:20pm– 3:30pm: You will continue for 15 more minutes by the Inca Trail to get to the car, a local driver will be waiting for you downhill to take you to Ollantaytambo, where you will finish the tour by visiting the Choco Museum.
