Just a few minutes from Tulum, spend the day exploring the Sian Ka'an biosphere reserve and float down an ancient canal made by Mayans approximately 1000 years ago. Your expert local guide will take you on a boat trip passing through 4 different ecosystems, including mangroves, lagoons, natural canals and tropical jungles. You'll spot lots of incredible wildlife, including a very good chance of getting up close with manatees! Then you'll enjoy the beautiful refreshing water yourself while floating in a canal that is 900 metres of fresh water within a world of natural magic. Finally, end this beautiful day by delighting your palate with some typical Mayan food in the local community center.
Pick up from all hotels in Tulum is included in the price. If you are staying elsewhere in the Riviera Maya, pick up can be arranged for a small extra price.
Go on a boat ride across the lagoon system to take in the incredible natural surroundings. You'll see a variety of beautiful bird life and have a very good chance to get up close to manatees! You'll then take a break to swim in the warm waters at a secluded beach. Finally, put on a life jacket and float through an ancient Mayan canal back toward the community center.
Break for a delicious meal of fresh Mayan and Mexican food. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available on request.
