Itinerary
The trip begins with a tour of the diversified farm La Canavalia, a model farm that functions as a school for small producers, there you will appreciate the organic production of animals, fruits and vegetables.
Then we go to La Sombra Ecolodge, a mountain hotel where you can perform various activities such as hiking, coffee production, visit one of the largest butterfly garden in Nicaragua, bird watching and more.
Overnigth at La Sombra Ecolodge
The second day you will walk in one of the country's most important forests: The Peñas Blancas Massif, the southern boundary of biosphere reserve Bosawas.
You will walk for about 3 hours through lush vegetation and numerous water sources, known as the sanctuary of the giant trees and finish with the beautiful Rainbow waterfall, which is more than 60 meters high.
After lunch return to Matagalpa, where the tour ends.
