Explore the incredible wildlife of the Yasuni National Park in the Amazon rainforest and experience the culture of Kichwa Anangu community. You'll stay in comfort at the beautiful Yasuni Kichwa Ecolodge that was built by the local community and spend your days canoeing or hiking along the river to spot rare birds, monkeys, sloths, alligators and more. You'll also get to take part in ancient traditions of the Kichwa people and learn about their way of life. Canoe two hours down the river to reach the lodge, spotting amazing wildlife along the way! Then arrive at the stunning ecolodge and get settled into your room.
Visit a clay lick in the morning to get up close to 11 species of parrots! You'll also visit the Kichwa community's interprative center to learn more about their culture and meet the women who manage it.
In the afternoon you'll have time to climbe the observation tower for more wildlife viewing and incredible views.
After breakfast, you'll visit some of the Kichwa community's projects around the lodge and get to learn about traditional medicines created from the rainforest.
You'll also get to hike along the Mama Cuna trail to see more amazing wildlife and spectacular Ceiba trees.
In the evening, you'll take a canoe ride along the river to see of the wildlife that only comes out at night, like alligators. A chance to enjoy the pure sounds of nature!
You'll wake up at 4:30am to take part in one of the ancient customs of the Kichwa community - making Wayusa to energize the body and listening to Kichwa songs to open the mind and make you feel at peace.
After the ritual and breakfast, you will ride the canoe back to the city of Coca for your departure.
