Why Lokal Recommends Teotihuacan en Bici

Background

Family Business started in 2010| Locally Owned with 100% local staff

A Unique Story

We are a family-run business that started because we wanted to offer visitors an insider's look into the other side of Teotihuacan. We all grew up in this town and realized that visitors would come to see the pyramids but leave without learning anything about the community of 30,000 that lives in the town.
We want our guests to see Teotihuacan Valley as an adventurous, cultural and eco-archaelogical destination. We use bikes as our medium of transportation because we want to conserve the environment.

Community Connection

We were distinguished as a "Socially Responsible Business" by Empresa Socialmente Responsable because our business has positive effects on the community.
We donate a part of our earnings to local non governmental organizations that promote health and education services of our community.

Environmental Engagement

In an effort to lesson our carbon footprint and to reduce the impact on our environment we have limited our consumption of electricity and we financially support reforestation in the area.

Culture

We hold monthly workshops, cultural and sporting events for the kids in Teotihuacan.
