The adventure begins in the city of Oaxaca as we head to the community of Capulalpam in the Sierra Norte de Oaxaca. The estimated travel time is 2 hours. We will start the hike at the “Los Molinos” park and go to the viewpoint “La Ventana”, after enjoying an incredible view, the tour continues until you find the river “Los Molinos” where you will continue along the shore enjoying beautiful landscapes until you reach the recreational center Los Molinos. if the weather is favorable, yoú ll have time to swim in the crystalline waters. In the afternoon, after a bit of rest we will go on an adventure to the "Arroyos Cave" to end the day. Overnight at Cabins of Capulalpam.
Trail distance - 4-5 miles (6-8 kms)
With the first rays of the sun, a new day welcomes us! It is time to prepare the backpacks and go down to the local restaurant where a nutritious breakfast awaits you. You will meet your local guide to start your hike along the route "El Embudo." The hike begins with a visit to the "Los Sabinos" park, a historical place for the community, continuing along the old royal road that leads to the "El Rincón" area and up to the "Las Pavas" stream, where the transition to the mesophilic forest begins, an area of high conservation for the community.
Without a doubt, a hike that will allow you to enjoy the unmissable landscapes of the Sierra Norte. After lunch you will have free time. We recommend you to visit the traditional medicine center and enjoy a Temascal (traditional ritual bath performed with the steam produced by aromatic and medicinal herbs, emerging from previously heated volcanic stones). Additional costs required for optional post-lunch activities. You'll spend the night at the Cabins of Capulalpam, a small community in the mountains.
Trail distance - 11 miles (18km)
Today you will head to the small town of Lachatao, so early in the morning prepare your luggage to leave the cabins of Capulalpam and go to restaurant at 7am for breakfast. After breakfast a transport will transfer you to Lachatao and when you arrive you will start the hike to Camino Real with your local guide. After lunch, you'll l move to the cabins and have free time to rest and enjoy the wonderful views of the region. Today's route is part of a broader pre- Hispanic route that linked the Zapotec cities of the Central Valleys with the Gulf of Mexico, along the route you can see vestiges of the original stone path, in excellent condition. You will be able to observe the vegetation, an example of the wonderful biological diversity of the Sierra Norte (bromeliads, trees with moss and figures sculpted in rock by nature itself). We recommend you visit the church of Lachatao of the XVI century, and the local museum that houses part of the history of the community and region. You'll spend the night again at the Cabins of Capulalpam.

The adventure is almost over! After breakfast, start the hike to the Mining farm "5 señores", enjoy the dreamlike landscapes that can be seen from a picturesque stone bridge, as from a majestic aqueduct and different stone ruins that tell us about the town in times of the colony. In this mining farm, Margarita Maza de Juárez, the wife of one of the most important presidents of Mexico, Benito Juárez García, was received when he was persecuted by Santa Anna. Our guides will tell you the interesting history of the mining farm. After lunch enjoy rest outside and enjoy the views while you wait for transport to come back to Oaxaca.

No refunds will be given for cancellations made after the established deadlines.
Date changes made up to 24 hours prior to the travel date will be free of charge, provided that the new date is within the same year.
