After your arrival at Bogota Airport, a team member will pick you up and take you to Guatavita National Reserve where you'll trek a few hours to see the lake.
Next, you'll be on your way to Duitama, a beautiful countryside village.
Today, your community tourism experience begins! After arrival in the community, you'll explore the flora and fauna of the area as you trek to a lagoon. The rest of the day you'll get to know the community, and then head to your next community - El Taladro.
Waking up in El Taladro, you can go on a sunrise hike to start your day! After breakfast and a trek through the Andean Forest, you'll transfer to the community of Virolin. Here, you'll observe the different types of ferns followed by lunch with the community. Next, you'll interact with some children from the local school, and visit the museum.
After a short morning trek through the sub-Andean forest, you'll head ot the Charala community. Today, you'll have a walking tour in Charala and learn about it's history. Following, you'll head to the charming town of Barichara where you'll eat dinner and stay at for the night.
Begin your day with a 2-3 hour trek from Barichara to Guane. Once in Guane, visit the archaeological museum of paleontology to see pre-Colombian fossils and mummies! After, you'll head to the amazing Chicamocha Park. Once here, you'll cross the incredible canyon in a cable car - such beautiful views! Your stay will be at a Hacienda that's known for it's delicious coffee.
